Well before i start i must apologise to les(fishfinder2002)as i lost pics of all the fish we took whilst downloading them,,,sorry bud,,,,,
Anyways we decided on a fav spot on chesil and started off catcing a few maky for bait ,very easy and quick,we used two, three hook clip down rigs and small strips off mak on small hooks we had an really good evenings/nights fishing started about 730pm till about 330am,,fish caught were red gurnard, pout, dogs, blackbream, smoothy, and an undulate ray well i think it was one it had really dark wavy lines all over it ,beautiful looking markings,,,as said really annoyed about photos being lost sorry again bud,,,les had the black bream and ray,i had red gurnard and smoothy plus we must have emptied the sea of dogs and pout,,,,will be at it again soon,,,
sinkingslowly decided he wanted to fish somewhere new a off he went to a mark further towards seatown way not sure where but he had a good night with two new species and i'm sure he'll post what happened,,,

Top one could be an Eel Pout, aka Vivaporous Blenny.

Not sure on the Ray.

Try posting in the General thread, I'm sure Davy Holt would be along soon to give his expert opinion.

Sounds like a good nights fishing, I must get myself down to Chesil soon:fishing:

Thanks for posting the pictures deano.
Saves me the trouble.
I was also thinking small eyed or blonde ray but no markings whatsoever.

Nice to have confirmation.

I have heard that there are a lot of cuttlefish coming close in along chesil at the moment. May explain why the hound took the squid bait.
