It depends if it's for shore fishing or boat if you are new to sea fishing and you are fishing from the shore use a fixed spool reel the are easy to use than the multiplier. If you stay beside a tackle shop go down and speak with the guy.

It's shore fishing I do and I bought 2 reel's from the local tackle shop both of em broke :angry: :lol:

it's the same as everything else,you get what you pay for.
whether it be multi or fixed spool get the best you can afford and it must match you're rod.
