Just wondered can you eat scad, I catch them occasionally and return them.
Not really. They are very bony and tend not to be big enough to be worthwhile:uhuh:
:roll1::roll1:Cook them the same as pout. Boil for 2 hours, stirring with a wooden spoon. Allow to cool. Throw away fish. Eat spoon.
Very boney. Only good as fish stock.

You can add polar bear's liver to that list, they accumulate a toxin. Plus pufferfish skin/liver and the entire poison arrow frog (should you happen to find them on the chiller counter at Tesco's).There is a saying that the only thin inedible are wolf's paw and dog's lung. (From an old Chinese guy in Hong Kong circa 1979)
You can also add my ex's cooking to that she could burn waterYou can add polar bear's liver to that list, they accumulate a toxin. Plus pufferfish skin/liver and the entire poison arrow frog (should you happen to find them on the chiller counter at Tesco's).
