Hi guys,

I am planning a trip for myself, brother in Law and 2 others around the second week of April any day of the week is fine.

We have done several trips along the South Coast and would like to aim towards Brighton / Newhaven area. Ideally not wreck fishing just some genral ground fishing for a mixed bag.

Can anyone reccommend a skipper and let me have there contact details:secret: .

Many thanks in advance guys!!!!:notworthy

Grant.

Keep an eye on the Newhaven Charter thread at the top of the page. We may have 4 spaces available if we have to rebook this trip.
Other wise try Frank Shaw on Carrick Lee or John on Sea Leopard, both out of Newhaven

Not much ground fishing to be done early April along here other than for Plaice, then their hit and miss.
Still a bit early to target Bass really, might get the odd one about take a bait and its too early for the bream.
Things don`t get going inshore till May.
The wrecks are really the only place i would bother with.

I would get yourself out on the wrecks, it is where you will have a good day.
As Alan said, it is very hit and miss inshore, unless you are happy snatching at doggies all day!

If, however, you head further up to Weymouth and fish with one of the charter fleet there then you will (should) have a great day on the Plaice.
