How should I go about catchin codling off south shields pier. I tried last week with ragworm on a one-hook rig but caught naff all. Should I try different bait or should I cast further to try for flatties?
Also, are there any othr good marks around tynemouth for catching flatties nd stuff, as I haven't had much experience sea fishing before.

Thanks,

P.S Please, please tell other people about my post 'fishing in France'. I really need some advice about what there is to catch from the surf beaches on the Atlantic coast. Or if you had any advice that would be really helpful.
