I'm going down to Walton this weekend and as usual, I'm sure I'll have some leftover lug. I wanted to give canvey a go to use up the spares but I don't want to bother with the walk along the OJ until the bass arrive.
Has anyone tried the beach in front of the Lobster Smack recently?

Went today and had 7 bass!
Makes a change from pins pins pins
Nothing huge but it's good to get a few. I still want to get through to the flounders in the channel but I guess I just have to stick at it until one turns up.

I've just got back from the point, had loads of pin wyting and a few codling with two pre school bass, ragworm seemed to work better then lug, didnt notice any crab activity but I dont think they had a look in the rod was rattling before it was even returned to the rod rest. busy but still very relaxing on such a calm night.
