Please move this to casting section if not best in here, but I'm looking to see if anyone wanted to spend some time offering some casting time.

I do have a very good cast but I'm really wanting to have a blast on a Zziplex or similar pendulum style rod, before I commit to spending $$$ on a multiplier setup.

Based in Gosport and I will travel and will pay if need be for the time.

:)

Crack off Colin on here is probably your nearest instructor. I'd certainly recommend him although if it's just some different/better rods you want to get your hands on I've got the AFAW 13'4 Match & an Zziplex m4 match hi-flex you're welcome to have a few chucks with.

Excellent! Thanks guys, I was looking at a few zziplex rods the other day and is there any reason why a lot of them are no longer than 14ft?

How long is the M4 Ben? I'd love to test one out!!!

13'6 mate, where in Hants are you?. I'm in Locksheath, you're more than welcome to have a few chucks with it (there's a field near me or you can even borrow it for a fish one night).

That's ever so kind Ben!

Im in Gosport, do you ever fish down here? Maybe we can arrange a night out fishing, everywhere along here is fishing well at the moment! Otherwise I could always pop up and you can give me some tips at the same time :)

For what it's worth.
Forget trying to learn the pendulum cast as it's not a case of just throwing the lead in the air and turning and hitting it.

Why do people want to run before they can walk ?

Learn to cast off the ground as this will get your arms head and body in the correct position of the cast.
Plus once you have learn off the ground then pendulum casting will be so much more fun as everything will be in the correct position.
How do you think all these big casters learnt.
Book up with crack off Colin or Chris ward or come along to either steyning casting club or Weymouth casting club watch learn ask questions and have a go.

To stiff a rod won't get you distance it will only hinder your casting. Get a rod that you can bend the work your way upto stiffer rods.
