Finally made it up to Etive,

Got to quarry, found gate was open, thought to meself this is looking good, spell's warning might have been in vain :p after a bit of a bumpy run through quarry found second gate was locked  ( yeah ok spell u were right m8 ) lol....

We started humping about half a ton of gear up the road (felt like it neway) and got to the mark, tackled up and started fireing lines out, sat there waiting in anticipation for that magic moment when the rod would bend over..... we waited....yup still waiting....finally after 3 hours, WOOT I had an offer, struck into it, and started reeling like hell :D ....only for it to fall off at the side  .

Jokeing aside, we fished 2hours up and 5 hours down, total for the day was 3 Spurdog, biggest about 3lb and 1 small Hake, lost 2 fish at the side of the rocks and missed quite a few bites.

good days fishing, will come back to this mark.

Glad you found the mark ;) - it's really one that fishes well or hard graft - it's a fairly deep mark so you would think it would fish as well in daylight as in darkness ?

I have fished this mark with others and have taken spurdog, lsd, whiting, gurnard , pollack, poor cod and thornback in daylight in one session ( daylight ).

The bigger spurdog seem to feed into darkness - it's a year round mark, but in summer there are loads of midges around!!
