Tried a couple of Kirkdudbright marks on the East side of the bay on Saturday. Fished with Ragworm, Mackerel and large Sandeels on pulley pennels. Pretty blowy all day but bright and sunny until late afternoon.

Amongst a stream of countless LSD’s, I had a decent slack line bite which turned up my first ever Bull Huss, even if it was only a wee one at 4lb 1oz. Only other non-Doggie was a Codling about a pound and a half which gave a really positive bite and felt like a bigger fish.

Lost quite a bit of tackle and think the main line on my reels is due a change. Looking forward to coming back again.

Cheers
