I have seen an advert for a sand eel trap and think that live sand eels should make a great bait - (Is live baiting allowed?)

Do any of you use traps? and where is the best place to site them? I have thought about groynes on a sandy beach but would like to hear from people that use them?

Finally what is the best bait to use in the traps?

I think alot of people use those small sabiki feathers to catch them

Ebay item no: 250697061031
never known anyone use a trap, cant see you getting any if you put it near the groynes - better using a shrimp net in the surf at low water about 8-12inch of water, if waters clear enough use sand eel sabikis or the way i do it down here is i find where they are wait for the low water and then dig them
good luck
