Booking in is on the night, from 5pm at the Paddling pool which is opposite ATS on the prom.
The match is not pegged but you have to draw the zone you will be fishing in when you sign in, so the earlier the better as once you have your zone, you are free to fish anywhere within its limits. These are which are marked on the beach. This means you can choose to fish over any patches of broken ground available, although there arent many within our limits, or straight onto clean ground. The broken ground areas are small rocks and tackle losses wont be high.
The main species caught will be Dogfish and Whiting, for which you will need fishbaits and lugworm.
We have also seen several Thornbacks and Huss weighed in over the last few years, and Tub Gurnard can often be caught from North Shore at this time of year as well as Codling, especially if the sea is rough.
