Chapel St Leonards help

Hi everyone, this is my first post, we're hoping to try Chapel St Leonards next week on the midday tides but I've noticed they are pretty low tides, just over 5m? Will this affect the fishing and which methods and bait would you recommend please?

Hi and welcome to the site. Its always good to greet another fellow fisherman. Regarding Chapel St Leonards there is a pretty good article on the site about Chapel Point. You'll find it at the top of the page under "Fishing Marks". Another good idea is to use the "search" facility also at the top of the page. If you type in "Chapel St Leonards" you'll get hold of lots of info!!
Trunch Lane is another good venue at Chapel St Leonards. There is a big car park there and a tackle shop at Lakeside Leisure which sells bait. They will also be able to give you up to the minute advice regarding bait, what's about and where!!
Personally I quite like the smaller tides. Weed has been a bit of a problem recently, but I find it tends to be less of an issue if the tides are smaller and the weathers kind. As for bait frozen black lug, squid and/or mackerel will certainly catch fish. As for rigs a pair of 2/0's pennel style clipped down or a pulley rig with a 2/0's pennel would be my choice. The pennel, I find helps with presentation.
Best of luck and please send us report after your session!!
THANK COD FOR FISHING!!
