Right, final details:

Pegging in from 8.45-9:30am, match 10am-3am, (any help is gratefully received and i'll be on the beach around 7am).
The pegging in will be around the cefas area, please see pic/link below for a better idea. Anyone traveling for the first time the postcode is NR33 0HT (LOOK For CEFAS)
When you reach destination just look to the right and we should be at the dead end right at the bottom. On the day there will be some small signs put up to assist with this.

By now, everyone should have a Santa Suit of some sort either by me or Post. This weekend I've done around 400 miles dropping off Santa Suits around the coast and I'm chuffed that everyone I've met seems fully committed to having a good time and also keen to do there best for the cause. I've had to purchase 34 suits at personal cost to myself so please try to make what you have fit. My advice is to go with thermal base layers underneath as they are thin and very warm, but bring waterproofs in case. If anyone wants to purchase another suit your very welcome Amazon have some cheap and at a 1-2 day delivery time. I've done what I can for you guys, hope its Ok

Just crossing my fingers for good weather and a good day

Look forward to fishing with all my friends, new and old next weekend

What a fantastic event this was.
BIG well done to all that took part and even bigger well done to all those who organised it.

The lady from the charity "make-a-wish" explained very clearly at the prize awards just how big a difference a "wish" is. A family that has a child that is very ill, perhaps terminally ill, is a family torn apart. One parent "holds the fort" back home with the other children while the other parent sticks at bedside. This continues till "the end", whatever that might tragically be. With the money raised from events like this, the care costs associated with bringing unwell children out of hospital (special transport, extra carers, etc) can be met. The family gets some relief from the burdens of illness, and most importantly, gets to spend time together as a whole family. Being able to create an amazing memory that will live on for one of these families in crisis, well it is just incredible.

This event has made this possible for at least one family, and the lady from the charity explained that we may have raised enough for more than one family.

If you were unable to take part for whatever reason, do consider making a contribution to the event webpage. It all helps:

Merry christmas to you all - Im going to wipe the choccy off the face of my 3 year old and give her an extra hard hug.. :)

Anyone know if this event will be on this year?
Hi Thanks for the post. The event will happen again but not in 2014 unfortunately. Keep your eyes open though and it will be bigger and better than before :D

PS - An update with the grand total will be done very soon, chasing sponsorship has taken longer than expected and there has been a little issue with gift aid etc.
