Hello all,
Im going to fish chesil just after christmas, never been there before, but i here there is cod from this mark. any tips out there what bait to use, what rigs to make? and best time to fish?will be fishing mid morning and into the night. how far out do i fish?

hi,
well.... the type of rigs you use from chesil depend on the venue you wish to fish and the species you are after, if you are after cod and only cod then the best rigs to use are pully pennles with lug and squid as bait. there have been big cod reported from the west bexington end of the beach, i have only ever caught 2 codd from the shore, both from W/bexington my first was 3lb and 2nd was 15lb 12oz.
