Just a quickie
Fished pier for couple eve sessions , first session slight SE breeze, mild , some colour in the Briney . Fished scratching rig close in with rag on one rod , up and over with Mack , squid/ lug fished out on other rod. Schoolie after schoolie on the scratching . After five , in five drops , changed rigs to 2/0 with long trace . Resulting in 2 more better schoolies just under a 1lb .
Soon as it got dark - whiting !!!!
Second session , slow start , , it was calm eve no wind and less colour in sea ,nothing till twilight came , and whiting turned up bit earlier . Then it was whiting all the way . Did hear of couple of skate landed at end of berthing arm ( the skate hole) along with small codling . Did hear there bin showing , there’s hope yet !!
Next stop south coast for a change .

Nice report I must get a licensed to fish the pier, the beach is only giving me whiting & small bass.

Simon, 24/7 tickets at bowling alley - £75 (year) ,they require 2x passport photos , utility bill with address , copy of driving license or passport . Skate and bass seem to be around most of year now had both in December before , at mo it’s fishing through the whiting , they turn up in force after dark .
