:help: can anybody help me iv just been to my shed to and got all my gear out and it look a bit dirty so wat is the best way to clean my reels and get the sand out i dont want to just take them apart anwhen putting back have one bit left over if anyone got any tips would be greatfull thanks :secret:

Hi,
Just strip the basics down,spool,handles etc and soak in warm soapy water then rinse with clean cold water and let drip dry on a tea towel or cloth.Re-grease and oil ,job done.You can strip down further if you want to flush the bearings out and the internal mechanisms all depends on how dirty they are.
