Fished the last Blackpool Federation SAC league today at Cleveleys.

Arrived and conditions looked good with nice swell.

Sea Shore Beach Coast Sky

Sky Sea Shore Horizon Ocean

Fished 2 hook cascade rigs with 1/0 hooks to cover all eventualities.

Started OK with fish from the off, the problem being they were codlets and not reaching the 35cm needed to count in the league. Continued like this for the rest of the match and ended up with 5 of the little buggers , 2 on frozen crab and 3 on black.

It was the same along the stretch I fished with only undersized codling and the odd small whiting being caught. Got back to the meet point for the bad news, my team had all blanked, and the team in second place at the start of the match had caught two insize whiting, which meant the 6 point lead we had in the league had gone and they had taken the league by a single point.

Oh well there is always next year.

Sounds hard going but you did more than your fair share so well done. Must have upped your Kudos in the team standings anyway :)
