Took my boat out from Appledore yesterday.it was really rough getting out over the bar:unsure: On getting to Baggy point the swells were about 8-9ft  so We gave up on that and cruised over to clovelly where it was alot less bumpy. The weather despite the forecast was perfect with the wind dying to nothing and even a misty sunny haze.Used squid with the usual dogfish knocking within a minute of the bait touching the bottom.Just after high tide i had one Huss which weighed 10lbs and then another about 20 mins later about 12lb.Both returned ok which is more than i can say for my landing net which one of them decided to eat it's way through.all in all it was a great first day for the season.:)
