Hi You would be wise to take along a box of squid too, i had a days wrecking last week from grimsby & the guys who fished shads, pirks etc caught very little & the ones who bait fished bagged up. Just fish it on a running lead in the same way as a lure but on a pennel with maybe a muppet above the top hook. Use fresh piece or 2 on every drift & i found it most productive if you slit the middle of the squid open length ways for maximum scent attraction. It may have been something to do with water visibility on that particular day but bait definately had the edge. Always worth giving yourself another option to try if something isnt working. Best of luck Dick
