I fancied a late afternoon sesh today and found some Black Lug and Prawn in my freezer.
I headed down to my fav mark down by the old Severn Bridge.
When I arrived the weather was calm and mild and I caught 2 mini-Cod on my first 2 casts. Then out of nowhere the wind freshened and a squall came in with heavy cold rain so I sat down on my box and huddled down with my back to the storm.
It took 45 mins to pass after which I was pretty cold but the wind disappeared and it warmed up a bit.
I decided to fish on and pretty soon I wound in my biggest of the day, a Codling of about 1/2lb.
I didn't expect to catch anything today so I went home quite happy.
