Just an update on my Boxing day evening down the Knap -

Seemed like good weather - calm, very cold etc

Bout 5/6 peeps down there - didnt see much cought - most people left not
long after high tide.

Fished 1 up 3 down - very few knocks until after high tide - 7 whiting, 1 doggy and a pouting - took 3 whiting over a pound. Only had frozen Mackerel and squid as bait.

Just an interesting note - few people seem to stay after high tide - in the last three weeks at this venue - out of the 16 odd fish Ive caught (mainly whiting tbh) - 15 were caught well after high tide.

May go again tonight - maybe try some worm as well.

I agree glyn, most of the fish i've caught have either been on the way out on the beach and 2 hours after low on the point. I've now turned to getting down at the beach on high and fishing 4 hours down. I never seen the point of leaving at high if the fishings been slow, chances are that it'll pick up on the way down, the fish always tend to feed at sometime on a high if they are there!
