Just finished a 2500 ptx which has a bluish green tint to the top coat. This is my first attempt at tinting the top coat as all other rods I have done have been coloured in the carbon, and I think it turned out rather well, as did the customer. Have another one to do now, a 4500 HPM in plum. Thanks for your help Stan. Here is a few pics. (Yes I know it's purple AGAIN but that's what the customer wanted after seeing the others!)

Thats really nice oh Nutty One... May just try that meself, by the way, what did you use to tint the Bondaseal.... I had a go once and ended up with a marbled effect, not what I wanted, but rather attractive, and a sod to get off.

Hi Dave. I used bullard powder pigment available from Nathan at RRT.

You are prefectly correct the 2 pack International and their own tints are very simple to use. The Bullards into Bondaseal does work but takes a bit of experimenting and mixing.

Put a first coat on with BS and if not really firmly mixed you may get tiny lumps, presume un mixed tint particles, quick scrub down next day and a clear coat over and comes up like glass with the colour intact.

International a lot easier to use but not always easy to get unless in bulk

I did notice some un dissolved pigment in the mix Stan but saw it before I applied to the rod. I strained the un dissolved particles out before using and was fine.
