dont ever knock catching a dog fish , there great sport and allways go back to fight another day,
A few years ago in angelesy , at my favorite mark whitebeach Quarry point , we arrived early one morining , to find several gents from manchester(could tell by there accents) fishing , and had been fishing all night , we could tell , by the tell tale sighns , beer cans ,rubbish , overnight fires , more rubbish etc , and a Huge pile of dead and dying fish , Mainly dog fish and some very good takeable pollack , there must have been 2 dozen doggies , lying in the morning sun , dead and dying.
After about half an hour of me and me brother setting up our gear , these guys had decided to leave , they DID leave and JUST LEFT all the fish were they were!!! I was absolutely apalled and disgusted by there BEHAVIOUR , there were five of these guys, and only 2 of us so i did not approch them , i did have a video camera with me but my brother stongly advised me not to get it out to film them , incase they decided to put us in the sea!!........anyway after there departure we cleaned up there rubbish , big bundles of line , beer cans , bait wrappers etc, and put the fish back in the sea , only a few were still alive , i felt sick with gisgust that SEA anglers could do this with out batting an eyelid , if there reading this post ,you dont deserve the right to fish freely in the sea, and i hope your cursed with a blank every time you wet a line.....:bones:
Regardless to say me and my brother did not catch a single fish that day , after about 8 hours trying , was it the 20 + dead fish under our feet giving signals out to there fellow fish,s to keep away?? we will never know that
spikydog:giveup:
