Hi,

I really want to catch a conger or even a doggie, does anyone know the best place to catch these aswell as the tackle bait and conditions. Please

ave a go down the ranny for a conger, best way is to park at the end of lavernock point and walk about 500 metres to your left down the beach, you will see a curve in the cliff face directly behind you, this marks the ranny pool.
Fish on any low or medium high tides both tend to produce similar catches unfishable on very big spring tides. Make sure you take plenty of traces just in case.

at the mo you wont go far wrong at the deeps on these tides,fish 2 rods using 1 live baiting with whiting,when fishing the deeps allways be wary of the swells,ive found using pulley pennels with at least 60lb hook snood will give you a good chance of landing a decent eel
