The conoflex anubis is a great rod you could pull half the sea bed up with it and it wouldnt double over like some rods, the only thing that lets it down is it's look's but in a nut-shell very nice rod highly recommended, LOVE IT! :D

well its been a month since i got my Anubis + and it's true to the game in the respect that its maintained it's stiffness you would expect from new! But i have heard troubleing things from the critics such as, "the anubis will lose it's back bone and become as floppy as a man who needs viagra" hope this is not the case would appreciate any feed back from some one who has had the rod abit longer than me, but on the plus side i still rate it and love fishing with it, Cheers.

whats it like compared to a nemesis plus gil,any idea.
it maybe will soften up a bit but the nemesis rods have stood the test of time, mines about seven year old and still a great rod, dont let the knockers get you down.its only a new out rod so how the hell do they know what its going to turn out like.
whats bite detection like on it.

maxie, The Anubis compared to the nemesis plus, well thats a tough one considering thay are two very good rods. What i can tell you is that the Anubis has a "fatter" butt section compared to alot of the rods ive had in the past, ive been kicking myself since i sold my Greys apollo mk1 and have been trying to replace it but could never seem to find one that came close to the old lady, i even had one of those century carbon metal express. But after a few sessions of trying to get used to it, it just wasn't for me although it is a nice rod to look at. And so to awnser your question "The Anubis compared to the nemesis plus" well time will tell on that one mate, i will be a very happy man if it is still going strong in 7 years time. As for bite detection i was pleasantly surprised at how good it actually is, im sure that 5lb cod would agree aswell.

totaly disagree with this statement i sold my nemesis to help pay for my anubis rods and they are a much thinner blank than the nemesis
