I'm looking at one of the long rods, such as: the Greys Triplex 15ft rod, or the 15ft Conoflex Chesil Beach Match. as anyone used these rods or similar ones? I've heard good things about the Greys Triplex I fish mainly large estuaries or rocks

Imo...These continentel rods are brilliant....to a point....for estuaries i think they would be ideal,their is a chap selling a 15ft K2 in the clasified section. Another selling a triplex 15 both well suited to that task BUT i am not sure either would make a good rod for off the rocks...i stand to be corrected here because i have no experiance of that type of fishing. Just seem a little weaker than i expect you'd need for lifting fish....as i say i maybe wrong and i,m sure someone will be along shortly that can help you better on that point of you question.

I plan on using a longer road on the Mersey and Dee estuary I doubt I would use them on the rock marks. unless I was fishing onto glean ground

Hi ,

i don't know the mk2 , but the Greys triplex mk1 was a very good rod , only downside was its weight : about 1300g for the 16ft! (mk2 seems to be much lighter)
As for fishing with long continental rods ... you don't need a short broomstick to fish from the rocks : Planet Sea Fishing Digital Magazine | Features | Tackle revolution on Yorkshire coast
