Any of the Southwest area fancy a meet/friendly comp between these three groups?
either have it over 3 meets at one Venue a piece or just a one off in Devon?

Sounds good, but we're still trying to organize the next round of the Devon v Cornwall lol. might be able to make it a 3 counties meet/comp instead ;)
Fair enough
sound a good idea.

Depends if you're any good.
See, going up against the Cornish boys, we're not really used to having to try.

If you're rubbish, though, count me in. :)

Not chesil matey, not on your life
y is it that bad at the moment? or do i detect sarcasm possibly:)
we've lulled the Devonians into thinking theyre the superior fishing county, this time us Cornish can stuff 2 counties in one night lol

no Sarcasm there mate, It is simply not the venue it is often made to appear.
There are far better places than chesil to fish in Dorset.
like were mate?
Like anywhere along the dorset coast mainly!
go to chesil, catch what, couple of black bream if yo uare lucky smallish gurnard and the odd smoothy/Ray?
go to Swanage, smoothies, turbot, plaice, sole, ray, Gar, Macky, Wrasse, Bass.
only My opinion, but half of us Dorset anglers could learn plenty more by simply avoiding chesil for a year or so>
like were mate?
like any beach other than chesil really.
go to the "angling Mecca chesil" and see exactly what you get for your day on a steep to beach, not that much.

Go to a shallower beach, for example Swanage and get

Gar, Macky, Bass, Turbot, Ray, Flounder, Plaice, Smoothy, Wrasse and Sole.
Learn to fish the surf and just behind it and also look at fishing less steep beaches at distance and you would improve your list well easy.
That is the mistake 1000's of anglers make every year. best way for half of us lot over here to improve our fishing? Stay away from Chesil for a year!
it may be/once was good, but it aint the Mecca people think it is and if it were a teacher it would be a crap one.
im up for it ian. may find you will get more imput once the devon/cornwall has been sorted
It would make a refreshing change for us lot i reckon.
