Good news he's ok,,,story reported is that he fell in on a calm day there was another chap in the boat who couldn't get him out of the water,,,

very lucky guy eh,
shame it came down to the rnli though, when a decent set of boarding steps on the stern would have saved all the hastle,
if there was someone else on board and they could not lift him etc, it would have been possible to guide him round the side of the boat on a rope / boathook to the stern where the steps could have been deployed if kept inbopard, or chauled himself out if a fixed set??

just an idea, maybe not feasible on all boats, BUT surely a consideration if the vessel is sizable to allow em??

steps were there by the looks of the picture. cold does funny things to the body in a very quick time. lucky to hang on and lucky to live. if he had of drifted away i think it would of been a different story
