this is my crab tank that i have been running for years now, it gives me a contant supply of of peelers all year. is anybody on this forum running a marine tank for crabs.

I'd be really interested to know about how you manage it.

Are you bringing crab on to peel or storing those about ready to peel ?

How many crab can that size of tank sustain?

yes its hard to set up i put mostly hardbacks in to bring on to peel usually 20 to 25 crab i get about 6 to 8 a week peeling.

change half the water weekly keep well airiated and they keep well

I notice they are Edible crab,is it legal to use them as bait in your area?.
Up here on the N East coast its illegal to use them,even if they are above the size limit.

yes i try to keep it at 16c but in hot weather i have to cool it down

I am impressed , this is something i would like to do as i have fairly unlimited access to shore crabs and with a bigger tank even spiders , any chance you might take some time to put down some schematics/instructions for us mere mortals?

How much does a setup like that cost? and for the water refill is that direct from the sea? Are there any other alternatives for those who live a bit too far away to fetch sea water every half week?

illegal if they are above the size limit! why's that then? i have never heard of that before

never knew you could do that great idea, how much for the whole setup m8, and how much to run?
