im moving to cumbria in the summer any idea if there are fishing comps held there and best places to fish cheers .maryport-whitehaven area

the chukkas (old and young) should help you out there. I know there are a few clubs up that way and plenty of comps but not a matchman myself so cannot really help.

plenty of clubs in west cumbria mate some of north west rockhoppers go on nw forum.
it isnt bad fishing in cumbria plenty of variety and sw scotland is not far away.

arnish point of the rocks into 60ft of water on the isle of lewis the shore fishing is untouched some nice fishing there only problem is its realy dangerouse with the north atlantic swell . cheers
