Decisions, Decisions, Decisions! I cant make my mind up for a Friday (tomorrow) daytime session, between The Kings Hall OR in the little bay at the end of the Kingsdown road just before the Butts OR Sandown Castle. Will have to fish the last half of the ebb and the first 3 hours of the flood. Any suggestions please?

Thanks Rob, I first posted the question in the Mr GT thread by mistake and thought I had deleted it!!
Your times coincide with mine which is good.
I am erring towards KH not only can it produce, the wind will be from the right and I can back my shelter into it!
Fine weather fisherman or what!
Not only that, travelling time is slashed so fishing time (or torture) is increased.

The reports for that area are good as far as the ray fishing goes, but in all honesty I have not been there for a while now, so I would go armed with some herring, or bluey for a chance of a ray. Crab was producing well last night for me, laced with a bit of squid.

Happy Birthday N4lly, You will have to wet a line one way or the other just to make the week off work a worthwhile one otherwise Mrs N4 will find a paintbrush for you use.

Rob, those hours are pure coincidence governed by dog walking first, then collecting bait etc, then getting there! Just hope I can find a parking space by the Ship!

Same as weather pro. Easterlies all the way! Had a trip to Walton planned, but in two minds. The only thing that's making me want to go is that my mrs is due in 8 weeks so not got too many sessions left till the permits are revoked!

Thanks. There's currently two trains of thought as to how much time ill get for fishing. Either more as the baby will occupy here, or less! Lol! Fingers crossed. Living on herts/Essex border it's easiest to get to the east coast so not much chance of getting out the easterly! Lol!

Well for your sake I hope it's the former....but I'm not that optimistic :hammer:
No, but you don't have to fish with it directly in your face necessarily either....fishing for rays on the Crouch maybe?

Considered it, but not sure if it still a bit early? I'm a rank armature sea angler, plus I have my old man in toe with me so kinda stick to what we know(ish).

Permits wont be the only thing that is revoked. Hope all goes well and you get a new fishing buddy.

No chance, she love's doing the decorating/gardening etc. I go fishing until she has finished.

Not pickup up a paintbrush or handled a lawnmower for 27 years :victory:

You obviously trained her very well indeed.

I would think the parking should be Ok Keith, the only thing that might mess it up is the cafe near the ship, you might have to wait for someone to vacate a little spot for you ??
You could always start a little fire !! that seems to clear areas pretty quick LOL

There were plenty of spaces when I arrived but there is a 4 hours limit!! Bugger! Ended up parked way up the hill behind the KH. Not too bad going down but a killer (for me) on the fully loaded long haul back up
