went out yesterday started fishing around 12 in the afternoon me and dad fishing with 3 rods out! using running ledgers and baits were mackerel lug squid and sandeel nothing for the first 4 hours then at around 4 oclock dad had slack line and kept doing it so wound up slack line and struck and was into a fish didnt really fight untill got close in then started fighting well ! resulted in a bass of 1lb 11oz. Then fish started biting shame they where doggies end of the day we had 4 doggies and 1 bass ! all the pics are of the last few trips ive been on to !

Some nice fishing there squidge, were the gurnard big enough to eat?

he swallowed the hook right down and after getting the hook back out he wasnt in a good state so he came home and is now gutted in the freezer ! and i love gurnard taste lovely

few species there mate, well done. Managed my first turbot this year. Lovely looking fish. Even better when they shoot back down to the bottom when released. Good fishing. Robbie...:thumbs:

yeah never seem to be any big turbot caught from shore though always small ones shame coz they taste really nice !
