Thought I'd give it a go today as I couldn't go last night. Hoping for a bit of a chop on the water, but wind died away and went from SSW to NW, resulting in a flat sea.

Started about 11.30 finished about 4.30.

There's only so many ways to say, "had a load of whiting", but I had a load of whiting. Nearly all sizeable, took about a dozen home.

No sign of cod or anything else apart from.....

Not too bad for a daylight session though.

Massive tide pull on the ebb. Weed a pain in the arse.

Not that I saw. No "beach gentleman" , or as Conan says in unreconstructed 1970s speak, "bummers" either. Almost like a normal beach at this time of year.

Have to see if I can tempt that lunker tomorrow GTN.

Full of Shed Brewers Beer at the moment, so not tonight - but according to the weather forecast I need to pack my suncream and posing pouch for tomorrow. Maybe that'll scare the sea rats away, but I doubt it.
