The week end had been marked in the dairy a few weeks ago for a reasonable good sized tide, unfortunaly the wind was not favourable for any particular place.

The word PUB crept into the back of my mind

After a long banter on the ol dog 'n' bone with Squid Vicious, he was still insistant on going :fishing: we decussed locations & wind direction.
I was thinking of walmer, squid wanted a change of venue some where NEW dengemarsh popped into the equation...
Mmmm i insisted that we didn't have to travel that far to catch Ting :uhuh: and that most beachs all look the same in the dark and have pebbles 'n' stuff maybe a groyne to keep ya interested.

So off we set,
RobinHood Lane was pretty easy to find and i discover its called robinhood lane for a reason as some one had stolen one end of the road
Pot holes where a understatement, lunar size creators more like the kind of which could of made the dinosaurs extinct where on what you might call a road :bones: my tiny corsa weaved its way through the creator size pot holes and totally engulfed by others, i eventually arrived at what you might expect to be a car park ???
The corsa was the smallest amongst the other vehicles thier more suited for the epic style terrian now sporting various scuffs to the under carriage/sub frame and a nice new dent in the exhaust pipe
Not for the faint hearted

Well the fishing was as expected takes no rocket scientist to tell ya what we got :bounce:

As Squid put it...
It was a very productive session quite the most fish we caught in long time :showoff: oftening bringing in a brace of ting on pennel rigs and the 2 hook bombers ment for the dabs.

3 channel sized ting where landed quite the biggest i've seen in years :victory: & i was happy bunny, plus a couple of other keepers are awaiting my careful preparation skills

We packed up shortly after midnight, with a detour to ashford A&E for a neck brace for whip lash style injuries, i love those pot holes we returned home.

The End

Welcome to the joys of denge mate, the road is a tad bumpy, specially if you did it in the dark. You seemed to enjoy yourself though, and a few decent Whiting are better than nothing. Denge can 'switch on' the same as anywhere and is a nice venue, dont be put off by the odd bump in the road. Well done.:laugh:

That road is NASTY.

We went down there in a Mondeo last year and got to just underneath the pylons then weren't looking where we were going and drove right into some shingle... couldn't get it out... had to call out a flatbed to come and winch us out... bent part of the suspension getting the car out... afternoon of fishing cancelled :sad2::sad2::sad2:

So yeah unless you've got a 4x4 and you know the road well, don't even bother!!!

Galloways road is slightly better but only accessible when they're not using the ranges :(

A very enjoyable session :)

Turning into RobinHood Lane was like tarmac got a lil bumpy past the industrial units, then ya hit the old school military style concrete road... bit more bumpy

Then it was...

Is that large pond in the middle of road ? nope just ya average size pot hole for dengie  it was a real leap of faith driving through some of those pond/lake creators... not knowing any real depth !!!

Good experience i'll do it again soon

Also good to have decent sized ting on the plate, my fillting/skinning skills have improved which i have learnt on doggies, thats coz i keep on messing up my doggie skin removal techinque :victory:

Me and DS turned up about 7 and headed left from the car park, probably about 150 yards or so. I don't spose that was you with the generator setup, literally setup just right to the right of the car park?

Argh might explain generator chuggin away in so called parking area halogen lamps on beach with wind breakers set up couple of beach buddies dotted about :) more rods than ya can shake a stick at !

Ye if that was you Lukey, squids & myself where most jealous... we only had 200 candle power northstar 'n' dodgey batterys in the our head lamps slowly fading away  we was a clear 200 meter past the watch tower pushing towards the diamond about half way in between.

wasnt me i was to the right of the five-a-side football pitch. quite why anyone would need that much light to fish, if your that scared of the dark fish during the day.lol didnt fancy the walk to the diamond myself.
