Fellas,

There dosent seem to be any other forum to cover this question so here goes.

I like the look of this sounder/gps combo from Lowrance:
Lowrance LCX-25C

The options I am thinking of is either a 50khz/200khz skimmer or a 200khz only skimmer. The depth of the 50khz will go down to 3,000ft (they reckon) but there is no info on the depth range for the 200khz. I have emailed Lowrance without reply.
The deepest I fish to is about 200ft - which is the transducer I need ?.

Also any tips about buying from the us of a.

Wildercard.

200KHz are generally good to between 500-600 feet. The 50HKz has a smaller cone angle so the transmitted pulse is more concentrated therefore it has a greater depth range for the same output power.
