I have just bought one of these, only to find the fold down ring was broken.

Would anyone happen to have one please. Better still would anyone close..ish to Cumbria be able to cut the old one off and whip a new one on for me please.

Apart from that, the rod is almost like new. I didn't realise Diawa made any beach casters with Aluminium but sections.

Hi,

You could also consider replacing it with something better, as fold down rings are pretty bad imho : heavy, fragile .... any good rod builder will approve and will be able to advise you.

Hi Gert, I was told the very same thing at Gerrys in Morcambe today. So I think it will be going there for a spruce up.
