I'm heading up from Newcastle upon Tyne to Dunbar area for daytime fishing. Can any locals give me some idea of the best beach or piers to fish please
Dunbar Harbour - off the rocks at the back of the fort - rough ground - codling / coleys etc
John Muir Country Park - long flat beach - mainly flatties and occasional bass
Eyemouth to St Abbs - mainly rock marks for codling / pollock / coleys
Torness Power Station - outlet - mainly bass fishing but also mullet and pollock and probably other stuff. Not really been there for a long time, used to have a reputation for lots of undesirables fishing there. The type you wouldn't want to comment to on minimum sizes as they fill their bags with juvenile bass.
Thorntonloch - beach next to Torness - had some decent flounder there. Also chance of turbot and bass.
Pease Bay Caravan park - loads of flatties
North Berwick - rocks below Glen Golf Club - codling, flatties, coleys
North Berwick Harbour - never fished it but as above I believe
Gives you something to look at.
