three of us arrived at southborne and fished by the bistro, saturday 29,, 19.30 till 02.30 ,, five rods detween us, fished at variouse distances useig rag,macci,sand eel,squid, black lug and hermit crab but only managed three tiny pout and one small spotted ray of about 2lbs,,,very dissapointed but at least we didnt blank,, allways next time,, allso no weed problems at all,, intrested to know if any one fished further to hengistburyhead and any results,,cheers jason

Well thats better than nothing... a lot of the time you fished would have been quite low and I only seem to land fish in the couple of hours either side of high, you are also on neaps.

I tend to walk to the end of the prom, then about 200 yrds toward hengistbury. There is more weed about there and the sand changed texture and becomes more like shale, but I can't say I have been any more successful than you, but there are always guys fishing there through the night, so there must be something in it.

I fished end of prom last night fished from 7 till 11 not a bite!!! fished at all ranges:banghead: few others down in that area didnt see much caught

Hi, fished end of prom, last night, was really dead. managed a small-eyed of around 1lb myself but that was it. Absolutely no weed probs for a change so at least something went well! :hammer:

Fished end of the prom on friday night with luckytone and had quite a good night, from about 8 till around 3 had 5 or 6 checkers and a keeper of about 2.5 lb, also had two sole (keepers) i had a small ray at about 1lb but my matey had a bigger ray of about 3-4lb all the bass came from single rarworm about 40 yards out, ray's on mackerel and sand eel, sole on ragworm again and pout on mackerel tipped rag

hi mate not to sure about the life station, but we were more or less opposite the beach hut that was having a party with the big spot light..good to hear you did better than us,,nice one..cheers jason

I was a bit further up about 400 yards past bistro we had 3 small bass and one small sole but not a bite till 12am. Two of the girls at that party decided to go skinny dipping right next to where we were fishing which was funny!!!
