fished burton bradstock yesterday for few hours 23/03/07 went there to fish for plaice all we had was 15 doggies and 1 hermit crab .these doggies are just taking over the sea its getting worst all the time.

Yep, pain in the ass them things! There is loads about due to hardly and commercial interest. The french eat loads of them and fish longlines out in the English channel for them all the time.

Thats surly up to the anglers own preference! If he cant stop catching them no matter what he does, he has the right to be annoyed.

thats a fair opinion,but it's even more annoying not catching them no matter what you do.
suppose it depends whether you're fishing for species or pleasure as to if they are a nuisance or not:)

ditto . the days of chesil being a prolific flat fish venue are gone.i would rather catch something than nowt,it must be frustrating to target specific species but if they aint there you aint going to catch them.

too true Hembo, we should think ourselves lucky, up at ilfracombe the commercials target doggies, i've seen boxes & boxes of them, so small you wouldn't even consider taking them for the table, all destined for whelk pot bait.
