Just a bit of an update since my last report where on the 12th August I broke the 100% on the powershad with a fish on a mag popper.

Since then Ive been crawling along mostly two at a time, but with the odd singles

Theres been masses of baitfish and joeys around and has just been a case of trying to pick out any bass that are mooching around.

number 100 for the year

So many fisharound the 2lb to 2.5lb this year , but finding it hard to locate the big ones apart from the two I lost

The recent gales have broken up the baitfish and joeys and added to the coloured water it means no fish in September so far.

The recent gales have broken up the baitfish and joeys and added to the coloured water it means no fish in September so far.

You're probably finding it hard to catch the big ones, because they all recognise you from when you caught them last time.

Well done Trev , nice to see a good stamp of healthy bass and fingers crossed they dodge the netters and provide future sport.

edit : looking at the heading I assumed you'd been after the bass in an ark !! lol

Andy, I would swap those 100 for 10 half decent fish all day long..............

Had to head a bit further afield yesterday to find some average quality water, a mate joined me and we managed to do a double Noah with 2 fish each.............

no pics of his as he wont get his camera out if a fish is under 6lb..

it must be covered in dust by now lol

I know what you mean Trevor, I might have caught loads more bass over the last 3 years of my lure fishing career than I did in my first 6, but the big girls are definitely more scarce than they used to be

headed out yesterday on a bit of a punt that the water may be fishable clarity.arrived to find it a bit iffy but this spot can clear very quickly on the flood which it did............fished 2 hrs up to high..........zilch, nada, and another 40 minutes of the ebb ...diddly squat...
said to myself another 10 minutes and thats it..............a few casts later ...finally a hit, hookup and fish landed

a fat 2.5lber that gave a good scrap !

two casts later a smaller wee schoolie

encouraged by two fish in three casts I carried on for another 30 minutes of last casts.......lol

and sacked it and went home for Pizzas and wine.............

still waiting for that big mamma............time is starting to run out.......
