Looks like the bass are really in now - had 3 small fish over Easter, but caught 8 on a good afternoon session at D'court yesterday, Sunday. Dug lug in the morning and fished the afternoon high tide. Arrived about an hour and a half before, and starting catching schoolies straight away - first five fish were all over 1 lb, with the biggest around 2.5 lbs - the smaller basslets taken on the ebb. First eel showed up too - real summer fishing - stonking bites - 2 rods were too much - great fun from the beach!

Cheers,

Neil

Good to hear the bass are showing up, have any good ones been caught off the breakwater yet ???
FF - talked to a couple of fishermen on Thursday and they said that a 6 lber had been pulled out from Stone Pier by one of their club members at a recent meet there. The guys seemed reliable to me.

I'm getting my bass gear out of the cupboard anyway!

Cheers!
