Just fished latest Blackpool Federation match at Dronsfield Road (should have been at Cleveleys but keeping to this years theme of bad weather we had to move the match). Fished 9:15 to 12:15 so 1 3/4 hours of the flood and and 1 1/4 hours of ebb.

Sky Sea Horizon Wave Ocean

Good swell running shore along and conditions looked OK, bait was fresh black and frozen crab.

First two cast produced undersized codling so looked OK, but then the weed arrived and it was atrocious!!

Tactic being cast, hold rod for 5 minutes as you got dragged round, reel in and spend 5 minutes clearing weed and other C*&p and start again. During this time managed 1 undersized Whiting.

Then as if by magic at 11:45 weed disappeared and caught another small codlet, then last chuck felt bite and some weight but rather than an insize fish it was another two small codling. Then just to add insult to injury it decided to hail as we were packing up!!

Only on one of the dozen lads out managed to catch an insized fish (28cm Whiting) so winning both the team and individual events!!!!

We fished there yesterday and it was exactly the same, we packed up just after hide tide because we couldn't be arsed with the amount of weed being pulled out. I wouldn't mind if the weed was sea weed but most of it was weed/crap washed up from the local floods, I got sick of catching baby wipes and plastic bags!
