I'm hoping to catch a shed load of mackeral soon. Alot of people have been saying Dungeness is the best place.

How likely am I to catch a lot there and will they be their every tide?

Cheers

fished for the mackies the other evening at dungie and they were jumping up the beach after the whitebait..however after going on the boat yesterday the water was like chocolate milk inshore so the mackies might have been pushed out for a while after that storm on monday night. The skipper said the weather is likely to get worse so the mackies will push out in rougher weather. Look for a hgh tide when the weather is nice and try and fight for a spot on the beach cos it aint easy finding one!
High tides and sunshine are best and probably and east wind to clear the water...thats the main recepie for mackies!
hope this helps
