Hi all

Just wondered if any of u kind gentlemen (or women) have fished dungie over low water recently n wot u caught if anything?, was weed a problem at all?

Got a free licence for sat night so will be fishing somewhere over low water, was gonna go to chequers but think dungie might be a better bet

Any thoughts?

Hi, Fished there last Saturday from 3 - 9pm and had couple of schoolies in daylight and loads of whiting from about 7pm. Couldn't get through them to the sole. Seems other posters on here had the same problem last weekend. Think we need a good SW gale to stir it up & get the cod in. Good luck if you give it a go.

HI LEE fished it the last 2wks low water up over high and down again we ad 45 whitin between 3 of us place was empty as it was a 4.am sunday tide last wk fished from 16.00 sat a/noon thru to 17.00 sun a/noon ad 54 whitin 1 dab 1 pelting roughly same 4 me 2 mates no weed/snags even with last wk big tide blacks/yallows/ commons/squid frozen crab and muscle goin fish hythe this sat nite high down and up either sandgate castle or grub gryone

Hi Lee,

Was round the back of the power station just before where 1st boil used to be. No problem with weed but was fishing it down and about an hour or so up so couldn't say what main flood was like.

We're going tonight... really not sure whether to go to Dungie, or fish off the Addy. Don't really get out much, so want to make the most of it!!

still weed around and lots of small whiting with the odd better fish

I fished the point last night, the whiting were out in force, had about 50 I fished from low tide through the night until high tide, hardly any wind and no issues holding bottom. Not a single piece of weed to contend with which makes a pleasant change


I also fished Dungie last Sunday with a mate, again we had about 100 whiting between us and my mate had a 4lb cod, lucky :clap: Weed wasn't too bad then either but conditions have been rather too nice there recently, bring on the rough weather.
