Fished the low tide down at Dunwich this afternoon from 2.30 to 5.30 after fish and chips with the Family for my birthday. I was using Lugworm , Squid and Mackerel as bait with a size 2 3 hook flapper on one rod and a size 1 2 hook flapper on the other rod using the Squid and Mackerel to tip the worms. Had bites from the off ending up catching 6 whiting and a Codling. One of the whiting was a keeper but was skinny so went back to grow larger with the Codling being fat and 28cm and went back to grow to be a keeper next year.

Looks like a lovely day to be fishing on your birthday. :) Cracking beach that and usually plenty to catch quite close in.

Just for the record it's spelt Dunwich. ;)

Nice session , didn't realise the shingle bank was that steep, you're doing well to stop falling over...
