We eventually got to take a run out last week.
Conditions were good. Water temps are still quite low.
Plan was to hit the local reefs to see if we could hit some pollack and cod. The pollack, along with small coalies and ling obliged; the cod did not.
Still it was great to get out on the water.

There are alos some nice features and articles to be found at: TopFisher.eu | Your window on a world of angling!

hi jim,
we go there most years. we have many types of lures, shads, sidewinders, jellyworms and tody, mepps etc. our spinning rod is 10 - 25g i think, i have caught a six pound pollock on it before and it bent right over, the first dive they make was making me worrie it was gonna snap. how strong is a spinning rod of that kinda casting weight. its a daiwa d-spin. one of our favourite rods

That one in the clip is a Abu Rocksweeper nano 702ml 5-25g. It is a 7 footer. It may be a bit different in terms of action to your Daiwa.
It's a great way to fish though..... One lure one fish and and as light as possible.

the daiwa is 7 ft as well. it has quite a through bend, the whole bland bends over and takes the weight, great rod
