Limited for time this weekend so decided to hit an early morning high water to try and tick the small eyed off.

Lovely conditions but absolutely freezing soon warmed up when the fish came on the feed... Thorneys first then a few target small eyeds, plenty of dogs and Whiting in the mix as well.

I have to agree Derek. Matt is outstanding in his Ray catching efforts.
Times have changed and the modern angler now has more opertunities to encounter and catch these fish. Gone are the days when they were mainly a warmer months species.. Now its possible to catch all four commonly found Bristol Channel Ray species as early as February each year.
Time and effort is the key and Matt commits to both.
