Eastbourne today

I fished splash point by Treasure Island today from 12pm til 4pm using fresh lug from the new tackle shop Seaside Bait and Tackle(only £1.90 for 10 lug!). I was using a 2 hook flapper and a pennel rig, and actually using my new Abu 6500CT multiplier for fishing for the 1st time after much casting practice with it! I was casting on Eastbourne beach by the pier on saturday and the sea looked really choppy and bassy which prompted me to go today, but today it was as flat as glass with a northerly wind so I'd lost a lot of my optimism for a lovely bass.
Anyway only had the 1 bass which didn't even register a bite so he must of been feeling a bit lazy, it was only about 25cm so went straight back. Still a nice day out and still got 20 lug left so hopefully get to go again in a few days.
Anyone having luck at Langney Point lately?
