Hi all,

We came over for a short Easter holiday break and have a session on Deal Pier hoping to catch some ray.

People catching ray on the left of me and on 4th shelter, not me :)

I did catch a Dogfish, some whiting, some pouting and a crab.

My wife caught a codling, some whiting and a huge crab.

All caught on lug, blue and sprats didn't do it for me this time.

Some rain in the end of the morning until two, then after three we had some sun as the wind turned from NE to SW, just after high water the water became calm and clear.

Have to pack in for now, ferry is leaving in a couple of hours.

Will be back in May.

Tight lines, lambert63.

Hi Lambert 63

Unlucky on the ray front bud, nice report and nice pics.

You may be in with a chance of Bass when you come back, the water is warming up quite nicely now !!

Regards Rob

Hi guys,

Thanks for the kind replies.

We made it safe across the moat.

Traffic in Belgium was awful, took us an hour extra because of traffic jams.

Will be back next Saturday with the kids for a weeks holiday.

Maybe have another go at rays at Deal Pier, or maybe fish one of the Dover Piers as we'll be staying just 5m NW of Dover.

Will definitely bring Bass rods, beach and spinning gear.

Tight lines, lambert63.
