hi vl. One place to look is in your local fishmongers you will see what is generaly classed as good eating. but there are fish you won.t find in there which are in my opinion good eating such as pollack, huss or rock salmon which is bull huss or even dogfish, large pout make good fishcakes when mixed with smoked salmon bits (99p) tescos) we don't normally eat fish like smoothounds, spurdogs or tope as most anglers treat them as a sportfish although both can be eaten if frozen for a few days to get rid of the amonia this also applies to rays, mini species such as weevers etc should go straight back. take only what you need for the table and pay attention to minimum sizes as this protects the species for the future, tight lines and good eating Gus
